Welcome!
Filip Jers will release the debut album for his jazz quartet in spring
2013. The album will be released on Fojablue Records, an independent
record label. Plugged Records AB will distribute the CD all over the
world. Click on "Filip Jers Quartet" for info of how to purchase.
Filip Jers performs in Dallas, US in august 2012 and in december
he plays two concerts in Tokyo and Hamamatsu, Japan and visit the
Suzuki Harmonica factory in Hamamatsu.
Filip Jers starts to work with Martin Johnsson as a personal manager
and booking agent. Martin Johnsson has previously worked with jazz
starts Viktoria Tolstoy, Putte Wickman, Jan Lundgren, Sylvia Vrethammar
and Arne Domnérus. You will find Martin Johnssons contact info in the
left column.
With Stockholm Lisboa Project, Filip Jers releases the CD
"Aurora" on Westpark Music. The CD gets a warm welcome in the press and
wins the prestigious prize "Deutsche Schallplatten Kritik".
Filip Jers recieves Alice Babs Jazz scholarship, a prestigeous
scholarship on 50.000 SEK. It was recieved during a concert in
Stockholm Concert house, Filip was playing with Bohuslän Big Band and
Wermlands Operan orkester, conducted by Magnus Lindgren and Nils
Landgren.
Filip Jers recieves a scholarship on 20.000 SEK from Sällskapet
Stallbröderna.
Filip Jers releases the CD "Åka med" with the group Primus Motor. The
CD gets a warm welcome and review in the press.
Filip Jers recieves a scholarship on 25.000 SEK for his work as a
composer.
Filip Jers becomes an official and international endorser of Suzuki
Harmonicas from Japan. He plays their harmonicas and promotes them
around the world.
World Harmonica
Champion Filip Jers releases his whished-for solodebut-CD, that he
calls "Spiro".
"Spiro" means "to breathe" in latin. On his solodebut Filip Jers
breathes notes out of his harmonica.
He also plays guitar, accordion and jawharp on the CD. All thirteen
songs are composed by Filip
Jers with inspiration from the purple notes of jazz, the blue of the
blues and the green notes of
folkmusic.
The CD is a musical journey with focus on the soulfull sound of the
harmonica and its
unique possibilites in the wonderful world of music.
Spring
2011
Filip
graduated
with a
masterdegree in music
from the
Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, as the first harmonica player
ever.
